BEREA, Ohio (AP) – Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett tackles quarterbacks on the field and buries them in his front yard.
The NFL sack leader decorated the lawn of his suburban home with the false headstones of seven opposing quarterbacks, including Ben Roethlisberger of Pittsburgh, Lamar Jackson of Baltimore and Joe Burrow of Cincinnati.
Garrett, a self-proclaimed Halloween fanatic, also has a two-story skeleton and many pumpkins as part of his thematic exhibit.
“The people in my house love to have fun,” said a smiling Garrett after practice Friday. “I’ve always done Halloween stuff since I was little. My family and friends thought this would be something cool to do. It’s always fun.
Arizona’s Kyler Murray, Chicago’s Justin Fields, New England’s Mac Jones and Chargers’ Justin Herbert are also part of the display at Garrett’s home.
Garrett, who has seven sacks in the first five games, set a franchise record with 4 1/2 against Fields on September 26. He beat Herbert once last week and faces Murray on Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium.
The two-time Pro Bowl selection said he was surprised at the amount of traffic his screen has brought to the neighborhood, but has no plans to remove it until Oct. 31.
“I can’t say no to the kids, so I’ll definitely be there to hand out candy on Halloween,” Garrett said. “But adult men and women, please don’t. I hope they can leave me because it is my place of refuge and residence.
