New Delhi [India]Feb 24 (ANI): After successfully running several editions of the Hockey India Coaching Education Pathway “Basic” Level Coaching Course (Online) over the past two years, Hockey India has once again launched a call for applications of interested and aspiring coaches to apply for the Hockey India Level ‘1’ and Level ‘2’ Coaching Course 2022 through an open forum.
Hockey India Coaching Education Pathway Level ‘1’ Coaching Course will be held from 5th to 12th March in New Delhi/Bhubaneswar, and 100 places will be available for the course and Hockey India Coaching Education Pathway Level ‘2’ Coaching Course is scheduled from 27th to 31st March in Bhubaneswar, and 60 places will be available for the course.

There will be four batches of the Level 1 Coaching Course of the Hockey India Coaching Education Pathway, all with limited places. Lot 1 sessions will take place from March 5-6, 2022. Lot 2 sessions will take place from March 7-8, 2022. Lot 3 sessions will take place from March 9-10, 2022. Lot 4 sessions will take place from March 11 to March 12.
There will be two batches of the Level 2 Coaching Course of the Hockey India Coaching Education Pathway, all with limited places. Batch 1 sessions will take place from March 27 to March 28. Batch 2 sessions will take place from March 29 to March 30.

Eligibility criteria to apply for the course requires an interested candidate to have passed Hockey India Coaching Education Pathway ‘Basic’ level coaching course. Applicants will be accepted on a first serve basis, with preference given to athletes/coaches who have participated in the Olympic Games and/or Senior World Cup and/or Junior World Cup and/or any other event continental sanctioned. by AHF and/or FIH. Female candidates will also be given preference for gender equality subject to fulfilling the above-mentioned criterion.
Each of the skills of the candidates will be assessed and only the candidates who successfully complete the Hockey India Coaching Education Pathway Level ‘1’ and Level ‘2’ Coaching Course based on the assessment criteria will receive the necessary certification.
Since the launch of Hockey India Coaching Education Pathway in 2019, over 1200 coaches across India have benefited from the program which is a streamlined education structure that consists of a combination of web-based modules and face-to-face interactive courses, underpinned by a competency-based evaluation process, which helps coaches progress to higher levels.
A streamlined education structure aims to help develop grassroots level coaches into high performance/international level world class coaches. Once a candidate has progressed through the Hockey India coaching education pathway, they are then eligible to enroll in the FIH Academy Tier 1 course, and so on.
