The 11th Annual FEI Sports Forum for 2022 is taking place as an in-person event for the first time since 2019, but is also being streamed live and can be watched on demand.
The forum will be held on April 25 and 26 at IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the FEI, and attendees of the FEI Sports Forum will be invited to celebrate the FEI’s centenary, with a special party on the evening of 26 April.
The first day of the FEI Sports Forum 2022 will focus on the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Regulations with individual sessions for each discipline.
Forum attendees will also have the opportunity to hear progress reports from the Organizing Committees of the 2022 FEI World Championships in Herning, Denmark, Pratoni del Vivaro and Verona (Italy), and learn about digital campaigns and collaborative tools that will be used to engage fans around the world.
The second day of the Sports Forum will continue with a session on FEI Event Standards, a project which aims to identify the fundamental technical aspects of FEI events and develop systems to ensure that the delivery of these meets expectations. of all stakeholders. The results of the survey that was conducted in this regard will be presented to inform this discussion.
There will also be sessions on comprehensive revisions to the FEI Veterinary Rules, FEI Eventing Rules, Dressage Rules and Para Dressage Rules.
Following last year’s session dedicated to Grooms, the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the FEI and the International Grooms Association will take place during the forum.
The FEI described this as “an important milestone for the Grooming community, who play a vital role in our sport and are crucial to the welfare of our horses”.
